We’re celebrating the culture of turntablism with a tri-national day of open scratch sessions, DJ sets, film screenings and showcases. They consciously look beyond their own turntable and jam together. DJs as well as instrumental musicians, producers or synthesizer lovers are cordially invited to the jam session. We are also celebrating the official finissage of the Ghettostars exhibition and the start of the 2023 season! Khan and Bas2 from the Ghettostars Crew will be there again in person for this occasion.
You can expect showcases from @swingflareclub (D), Larcenist (Will/CH), Sonderskooler & @themrebs (Mannheim, D).
MZA (Zurich/CH), Noset (Freiburg/D), Sirob (Freiburg/D), Mandal (Strasbourg/F), Tekx Be (Freiburg/D, Zenx (Basel/CH) are playing on the Chill Floor in the Urban Record Store , B-Line (Freiburg/D), Tao (Offenburg/D) & TinaTurnup (Freiburg) from a 40 minute Dj Set each.

Aesthetic lines, weightlessness. Let go, slide to the floor. Rhythmic isolations, explosive energy. Robot-like movements.
The professional school for stage dance in Freiburg, the DanceEmotion Academy, is one of the best training schools in Germany. The Academy stands for one of the most diverse dance training courses in ballet, jazz and contemporary. The dancers present stylistically completely different choreographies on this stage dance evening.
In a world ruled by the mind, we want to convey authentic emotional experiences to our audience through our dance without having to deal with philosophical issues. This doesn’t mean that our choreographies don’t also deal with more serious topics. However, we want to transmit this on an energetic level by exciting, surprising our audience, giving them goosebumps or making them cry.
Music plays an important role for us. Through the merging of music, movement and dance expression, the energies can increase and make the viewer vibrate beyond speech and thought.
The dancers of the DanceEmotion Academy impress with their musicality, dynamics and a high level of dance technique.
