From now on there is a cinema at Tempelhof Airport – BZ Berlin

“Thf cinema” starts on Thursday – films are shown on the big screen in the middle of the main hall of the former Tempelhof Airport. The idea was implemented by the art house cinema “Neue Kammerspiele” from Kleinmachnow.

Cinema in the old airport – does that fit together?

“The cinema and airport have more in common than meets the eye,” says Carolin Huder (53), managing director of “Neue Kammerspiele”. “Both open doors to other worlds and other perspectives. In this respect, I am very happy to be able to show special films in this special place and hopefully give many people a special cinema experience. “

The pop-up series will show films for children and adults from all genres from Thursday to Saturday until the end of the year. Also films related to the airport.

Hudler: “Every week there is a different subject around which the selection of films revolves, and which cinematically provides some fresh food for thought on topics that concern us all.”

It starts with classics about love. “Out of breath” is shown on Thursday evening at 8 p.m., “The final exam” (8 p.m.) and “So dark the night” (10:15 p.m.) run on Friday. There are 300 seats, please buy the tickets online beforehand. The 2G rule applies (when sitting without a mask).

Until December 26th from Thursday to Saturday, Tempelhofer Damm 23 (entrance GAT), Tempelhof. 10 Euro
