The man had taken a paper to the Sportpaleis. It read ‘she’s the one’ in large letters, referring to the title of one of Robbie’s biggest hits, a song that is sung as a bisnumber during his XXV Tour. On the other side was the question ‘Will you marry me?’. As soon as the song was played, the man took out his paper.
The cheering in that one place in the stands did not escape Robbie. He asked what was going on and learned about the marriage proposal. The singer asked if she had said yes and that turned out to be the case. ‘She’s the one’ got very literal this time.
On Friday, Robbie shared some photos from the show in Antwerp on Instagram. “Congratulations to the newly engaged couple in the audience – she said yes,” it read. Marissa, the woman who got the proposal, also responded in the meantime: “Thank you for the best night of my life! I said yes!”
