Fuels go up again on Monday (big!)

Fuels go up again! – Last Monday, we welcomed a drop in fuel prices, a little lower than expected, around 10 cents per litre. A disappointing drop when it should have been more around 15~16 cents. As you may know, after all the controversy, unfortunately, at that time, due to an increase on the part of gas stations and other filling stations, the drop resulting from the ISP cut seemed much smaller than what would be desired.

Well, it is very likely that last Monday’s price drop will be completely cancelled, or very close to it, next week. After all, we have another very significant increase on the way.

Therefore, we have more bad news for Portuguese drivers, in fact, for all Portuguese, since the price of fuel does not only influence those who walk on the roads, it ends up having a strong impact on all essential goods for our daily lives. day.

Unfortunately, fuel prices will increase very significantly as early as next week. Most likely 5~7 cents on a liter of Gasoline and 2~3 cents on a liter of diesel.

So, since the beginning of 2022, fuel prices have already risen about 15 times! And apparently, we still have more climbs in sight! Such has been the devaluation of the value of the euro against the dollar, and complete instability in the value of oil in international markets.

In short, on average, at Portuguese gas stations, diesel will cost almost €1.87 per litre, with gasoline costing €1.93. However, the government has already announced that it will be attentive to the margins of gas stations… But one thing is for sure, we still have a lot to suffer in 2022, in the field of prices.
