Nina Lührßen has been playing for SV Werder Bremen since 2012, and nothing will change about that in the future. The midfielder has signed a new contract with the women’s Bundesliga club.

“We are very happy that Nina is staying with us. She is a player with a lot of potential,” said department head Birte Brüggemann. “Especially on the flank she can use her strengths perfectly, which we also need in the coming series.”

As a Bremen resident, it’s a nice feeling to continue wearing the Werder jersey.

Werder are back in the Bundesliga and Bremen put six points between themselves and SC Sand before the last matchday.

“As a Bremen resident, it’s a nice feeling to continue wearing the Werder jersey,” said Lührssen, who feels “extremely comfortable” in her hometown and with Werder. The 22-year-old has played 60 Bundesliga games for Bremen and scored seven goals. She has made 19 appearances for Werder this season.
