Galtier sends a message to Cristiano Ronaldo!

PSG coach Christophe Galtier has a message for Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the friendly match between his team and a Saudi selection this Thursday, January 19 (5 p.m. GMT). This match could potentially be the last time the two footballing greats, Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, face off against each other in their careers.

Galtier spoke about the match in an interview with RMC Sport, making it clear that it won’t be a practice game. He said, “It might not look like a friendly game, it won’t be a practice game. There are so many personalities and competitors on the field that we will have a good level match. It’s a showdown. We are not in a charity game.

The PSG coach also praised the two players, calling them “the two most successful active players in the world” who have won “twelve Ballons d’or between them“. He believes the match will be good for international football and help PSG to find a new dynamic after recent difficulties in Ligue 1. Galtier concluded by saying, “We must use this match and Monday’s match in the Coupe de France (against the US Pays de Cassel, editor’s note) to both find rhythm on an individual level and more coherence on a collective level, and to finally finding a PSG which had done well the first part of the season before the World Cup and which is struggling to restart.
