Ganjar’s electability above Prabowo and Anies

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The results of the Indonesian Political Indicators survey put the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo in first place with an electability of 29 percent if he runs as a presidential candidate (candidate) in 2024.

In this survey with a simulation of 19 names, Ganjar’s electability is far above the General Chair of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto who is in second place with 19.6 percent and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan 17.4 percent.

“Ganjar Pranowo was alone at the grade top,” said the Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicator Burhanudin Muhtadi at a press conference, Sunday (2/10/2022).

West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil ranks fourth with 8.7 percent. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono is in fifth position with 4.1 percent.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, is in sixth place with 3 percent, and in seventh place is the Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, with 1.9 percent.

Furthermore, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa 1.8 percent, SOE Minister Erick Thohir 1 percent, and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD 0.9 percent.

Then, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani 0.6 percent, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini 0.6 percent, former TNI Commander Gatot Nurmantyo 0.5 percent, and Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Bambang Soesatyo 0.3 percent.

Next, Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto 0.3 percent, PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu 0.3 percent, PKB chairman Muhaimin Iskandar 0.2 percent, PAN chairman 0.2 percent, and former PPP chairman Suharso Manoarfa 0.1 percent, and another 1.4 percent.

The indicator also noted that 8.1 percent said they did not know and did not answer.

The survey involved 1,220 respondents which was carried out on September 13-20, 2022.

The respondents were interviewed face-to-face by trained interviewers.

Meanwhile, margin of error in this survey is approximately 2.9 percent at the 95 percent confidence level.
