Garmin launches three new bicycle ecosystem products including “Smart Radar Taillight Dashboard”

First of all, it is the “Varia RCT715 Smart Radar Taillight Dashboard”, as its name suggests, it combines a radar rangefinder and a driving recorder into the taillight. The driving recorder has a built-in 1080p resolution lens, and has the ability to automatically detect accidents and store images before, during and after the event.

Speaking of bicycle watches, this time Garmin also released the “Edge 1040 Solar GPS Bicycle Watch”. Its power can reach 45 hours under the multi-frequency GPS positioning with Multi-Band GNSS. The solar charging mirror can be used for an additional 20 minutes per hour in full sunlight, which means that solar energy can supplement up to 1/3 of its electricity consumption. The battery provides 100 hours of use when in power-saving mode, and the solar power adds another 42 minutes per hour. In addition to recording the route, the bicycle watch is also equipped with the “Real-Time Stamina real-time fitness meter” function, which can display about how much remaining physical energy you have.

The Edge 1040 Solar GPS Cycling Watch is priced at NT$22,990, and a non-solar version is also available for NT$21,990. The suggested price for the Varia RCT715 is NT$11,990, while the suggested price for the Rally XC200 is NT$37,990. All three are officially on sale in Taiwan starting today.
