In the family of mini-computers Gigabyte Brix the next replenishment: the models BLCE-4000RC, BLCE-4105R and BLCE-5005R debuted. All three new products use the Intel Gemini Lake hardware platform and are equipped with Celeron N4000 processors (2 cores / 2 threads, 1.1 / 2.6 GHz), Celeron J4105 (4 cores / 4 threads, 1.5 / 2.5 GHz) and Pentium Silver J5005 (4 cores / 4 threads, 1.5 / 2.8 GHz), respectively. Note that the first mini-PC is content with passive cooling.
The devices are made in a case with dimensions of 56 x 103 x 116.5 mm and represent the “refresh” of last year’s models. The main difference between new products from their predecessors is the presence of the video outputs HDMI 2.0b and HDMI 1.4, as well as the serial port. Mini-PCs support the installation of one 8-GB SO-DIMM DDRM memory module and one 2.5-inch drive with 6 Gbps SATA interface.
Computers also include the Intel Wireless-AC 3168 wireless module (Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2), and Realtek RTL8111HS and ALC891 chips are responsible for the operation of the gigabit network interface and sound subsystem. Among other things, we can note the presence of four USB 3.0 ports (three Type-A and one Type-C). An external adapter of 40 W is used to power the systems.
As for the estimated prices, in European stores the Gigabyte BLC-4000RC compact PC will be available at a price of € 130, and the BLCE-4105R and BLCE-5005R will cost around 140 and 180 euros.
