Seven young men allegedly molested a 14 and two 16-year-old girl in downtown Essen on Sunday evening. After they resisted, they managed to escape. The police are now asking the population for clues. According to the announcement, around 7 pm the girls got into conversation with a group of seven young men, then they walked together along the Kettwiger Straße between Rathausgalerie and Essen Cathedral. At around 8.30 pm, the girls wanted to say goodbye to the street “Zwölfling” – then it apparently came to an attack. more on the subject They were harassed by the young men between the ages of 15 and 17 and were touched immoral, at least two of the girls were reported to have sexual assault. The girls then freed themselves by kicks and punches and fled. At 10 pm they alerted the police. The seven perpetrators are said to have a southern appearance and have reportedly spoken in Arabic. Two of them were described as corpulent, one had worn a brace. The police are urgently looking for witnesses who have observed the events and can provide clues to the perpetrators.
