Girona city florists are planted and will not sell roses for Sant Jordi at home

The florists in the city of Girona and the surrounding municipalities have chosen not to sell or distribute roses in domicile during the St. George’s Day. According to the group, they do it because “it is not a commodity” and that is why they prefer that people do not take risks by receiving roses at home.

On the other hand, in the rest of the Girona area there are establishments that they will open in municipalities such as Figueres, Olot, Ripoll, Santa Coloma de Farners or Llagostera (Gironès).

The president of the Guild of Florists of Girona, Eduard Mainegra, explained that “many florists have stopped accepting orders because they cannot take it on” in the face of the demand they have.
