Google will solve the problem with uploading applications to Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

The first users of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were surprised to find that the memory management system in the “reference” smartphones Google does not cope with such simple tasks as listening to music in Spotify. Now the Internet giant promises to fix it.

What happened?

Everyone was surprised when Google did not increase the amount of RAM in the new generation of "pixels". The company clearly expected that with good optimization, 4 gigabytes would be quite enough for the work of a “pure” Android 9 Pie, but something went wrong. The system quickly begins to "kill" unnecessary processes. And if a user, for example, listens to music through a streaming service, then when the camera starts up, the player may close unexpectedly.

As practice shows, problems begin already when switching between the three applications. Whether Google was too smart with the power saving settings, or something else. The exact reason is unknown, but the official commentary says that “in the coming weeks” the problem will be fixed.

What else have you repaired?

In late October, Google fixed an error that prevented some of the images on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL from being saved. In addition, now smartphones announce fast wireless charging only in 10-watt mode. It is supported by the Pixel Stand brand accessory, while in standard Qi-compatible docking stations, the output power is limited to 5 watts. This charge is marked as slow.
