Solitude, June 17, 2022. Atlantic Governorate. On the occasion of the department’s 117th anniversary celebration and in the midst of a lot of sports, recreation and entertainment, the Governor of Atlántico, Elsa Noguera, started the ‘Vive la Plaza’ program in the municipality of Soledad.
Nearly a thousand people gathered in the recently inaugurated town square and enjoyed not only the birthday of the Atlantic, but also the new offer that Indeportes brings to the people of Soledad starting this Friday.
“We continue to celebrate our 117 years and it is a good reason to activate Soledad Square with our ‘Vive la Plaza’ program and all the activities of Indeportes Atlántico. Here we are going to have futness, rumba therapy, skating and athletics, so that Soledeños of all ages come to this emblematic plaza, from the early hours of the morning until late at night,” said Governor Elsa Noguera.
In the celebration, the central square had five large areas for the enjoyment of the residents of Soledad. From very early on, the monitors and instructors of Indeportes started with the Rumba zone full of music, rhythm, aerobics, rumba therapy and zumba.
The Community Social Sports area was developed with the practice of soccer, volleyball, basketball, where children and adults performed training routines and mini-games.
The Futness zone, which is a new way of doing physical activity with the ball, also offered a mix of wellness and physical work to the attendees with the ball as the protagonist.
Likewise, there was an Athletics and Skating area for lovers of these sports disciplines, and another for Community Social Sports with board games and directed recreation.
“It is gratifying to bring the offer of Indeportes to this emblematic square in Soledad. Here we are replicating everything we have done in the large squares of the Atlantic, such as Plaza de la Paz and Puerto Colombia. What better celebration than that of the 117 years of our department to do it with a lot of recreation, sports and entertainment,” said the director of Indeportes, Luis Restrepo.
For his part, the mayor of Soledad, Rodolfo Ucrós, considered that these types of events benefit and make the municipality great. “Once again, my thanks to our Governor for always keeping Soledad in mind for this type of event, which is great news for everyone. Family, parents and children can come here and enjoy ‘Vive la Plaza’ , my thanks also to the monitors and instructors who accompany us”, said Ucrós.
