Hundreds of policemen took part in a major action in the Frankfurt train station district against drug and organized crime. During the raid on Thursday night, the officers closed several streets near the main train station and controlled mainly pubs, pubs and brothels.
Frankfurt police chief Gerhard Bereswill spoke of 470 officials deployed. Federal and city police also intensified the action, a balance sheet of the operation should be known at the earliest on Friday morning.
However, according to Bereswill, there had already been seven arrests in connection with drug trafficking before the raid. "We want to show that we are present," said the police chief of the large-scale control, for which several streets were closed off. It's about showing drug dealers and other criminals "that this is not the case". On Twitter, the police wrote that city tax inspectors and food inspectors were also on duty.
