Hanson Hispania, one of the leading manufacturers of prepared and aggregate concrete in Spain, and owner of four concrete plants and a quarry in Asturias, has undertaken a merger by absorption of five subsidiaries, including Carcaba Mechanical Quarries, of Santa María de Piedramuelle (Oviedo).
The other five companies absorbed are Piedras y Derivados, from Madrid; Concrete and aggregates, from Vizcaya; Cantera el Hoyón, from Madrid, and Aridos Sanz, from Valladolid.
Hanson Hispania has been a subsidiary of the German group Heidelberg Cement for thirteen years, the third world group in the manufacture of construction materials and a global leader in the production of aggregates.
