The autonomous communities have notified the Ministry of Health this Thursday 10,143 new cases of coronavirus, of which 4,889 have been diagnosed in the last 24 hours, compared to the 4,381 registered on Wednesday, which brings the total number of people to 3,514,942 infected with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Regarding the current average incidence of infections in Spain in the last 14 days, the report shows that it remains stagnant, standing at 230.07 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to the 230.27 reported on Wednesday by the department led by Carolina Darias.
As for those killed by Covid-19, this Thursday 137 more have been notified, of which 277 have been registered in the last week. This brings the global death toll from coronavirus in Spain to 78,080 people.
There are currently 9,787 patients admitted for Covid-19 throughout Spain and 2,320 in an ICU, although in the last 24 hours there have been 1,030 admissions and 1,182 discharges. The occupancy rate of beds occupied by coronavirus stands at 7.78 percent and in ICUs at 23.04 percent.
Of the 4,889 people diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last day, 1,753 have been located in Madrid, although 335 in Andalusia, 374 in Aragon, 101 in Asturias, 29 in the Balearic Islands, 171 in the Canary Islands, 100 in Cantabria, 72 in Castilla -La Mancha, 358 in Castilla y León, 263 in Catalonia, five in Ceuta, 112 in the Valencian Community, 94 in Extremadura, 104 in Galicia, 15 in Melilla, 44 in Murcia, 181 in Navarra, 727 in the Basque Country and 51 in The Rioja.
Regarding deaths, Health has already registered 9,617 deaths in Andalusia (41 in the last week); in Aragon 3,437 (16 in the last seven days); in Asturias 1,943 (seven in the last week); in the Balearic Islands 820 (three in the last seven days); in the Canary Islands 728 (nine in a week); in Cantabria 556 (two in the last seven days); in Castilla-La Mancha 5,846 (six in the last week); and in Castilla y León 6,751 (19 in the last seven days).
In addition, 14,082 people have died in Catalonia as a result of the coronavirus (24 in the last seven days); In Ceuta, 104 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic (two in the last week); in the Valencian Community 7,294 (seven in the last seven days); in Extremadura 1,790 (eight in a week); in Galicia 2,375 (eight in the last seven days); in Madrid 14,990 (84 in the last seven days); in Melilla 89 (one person in the last seven days); in Murcia 1,587 (two in the last seven days); in Navarra 1,155 (12 in the last seven days); in the Basque Country 4,157 (23 in the last seven days); and in La Rioja 759 (three in the last seven days).
