“Heartfelt homage” to Johnny this Saturday on the Champs-Elysées


U n “heartfelt homage” will be made Saturday in Paris, the singer Johnny Hallyday, the funeral procession down the Champs-Elysées from the Arc de Triomphe to the Concorde before a “religious office” in the church of the Madeleine, on Thursday announced the Elysee.

The president and Emmanuel Macron “will briefly show the word” during the ceremony at the Madeleine, has said the presidency of the Republic in a communiqué noting that the details and schedules of this tribute would be clarified “by the relatives of Johnny Hallyday and the Prefecture de police” of Paris Thursday afternoon at a press briefing.

The remains of the artist was transferred to the funeral home to the Mont-Valerien at Nanterre, not far from his home in Marnes-la-Coquette, said on Thursday the AFP of its historic producer, Jean-Claude Camus.
