Hershey's plan to launch a thinner Reese's Cup is fueling social media.

Last week, Hershey announced on a call with investors that he intends to launch a new product called "Reese's Thins" in March.

"This product is about 40% thinner than the original cup and appeals to consumers who want something sweeter with more allowability," said Michele Buck, president of Hershey North America.

Hershey will not stop selling the original Reese's Cups as the candy giant continues to bring forth new variations of the iconic brand. Many customers, however, were angry at the existence of a "thinner" Reese's Cup.

The biggest complaint people make is a simple one: they want a fatter Reese's Cup, not a thinner one.

Hershey has been working to revise some of the most popular brands to increase sales.

In May, the company launched Reese & # 39; s Outrageous, a candy bar filled with peanut butter, caramel and Reese's pieces. It's also slated to debut Hershey's with Reese's Pieces in bar form in December.

But when it comes to Reese's Thins, many people just are not on board.
