Hockey Bundesliga: Hockey men at UHC Hamburg are threatened with the relegation round

Hockey men of the UHC Hamburg threatens the relegation round

The hockey men from Uhlenhorster HC Hamburg did not succeed in the fight against relegation. After the 3: 3 at Düsseldorfer HC on Sunday, Hamburg are only in fifth place in the B group. Annoying from the point of view of coach Benedikt Schmidt-Busse’s team that a temporary 2-0 lead against the Rhinelanders and against co-favorite Mannheimer HC in the 3-4 defeat on Saturday was not enough for more. With three outstanding games, the UHC must win at least one and also rely on the support of the competition, otherwise the Hanseatic League will have to go into the relegation round.

Harvestehuder THC, on the other hand, defended second place in Group B with a 3-2 win after being 2-0 down against Uhlenhorst Mülheim, although coach Christoph Bechmann’s team lost 4-3 to Mannheimer HC on Sunday. In group A, the club on the Alster defeated TSV Mannheim 5-0, but then lost 0-4 to Rot-Weiss Köln. The Hamburger Polo Club returned with victories at Berliner HC (3:1) and SC Frankfurt (6:3) and remains second.
