The Honor 10 will officially start in Germany in mid-May, but will be presented in China in just two days. The new top model from Huawei’s subsidiary brand takes over much of the hardware of the new Huawei P20 and pack them in a “youthful” design. We have now located the first official pictures of the Honor 10.
According to the information available to us, the Honor 10 will be available in the colors black, teal and in a special color called “blue”, the color of the latter model varying between blue and pink, depending on the viewing angle. Huawei’s “young” daughter thus takes over the approach that the group already at P20 Pro has used – to let glowing colors appear alternately. Honor 10: Interchangeable colors are now also on the Huawei subsidiary Outwardly, the Honor 10 is just as much like the P20 apart from the layout of the cameras on the back as well as the interior. Honors new flagship has also a “notch” at the top of the screen, where you like Huawei the front camera, the ear piece and some sensors accommodate. Display from Huawei P20 Lite, CPU & Akuu from P20 Also, the fingerprint reader sits here again at the bottom of the screen on the front, so that the Honor 10 has both a “notch” and a “chin”. The panel itself is an LCD that works with 2280×1080 pixels and with its 5.84 inch diagonal probably corresponds to the screen of the Huawei P20 Lite. Again, the LTPS panel has a 2.5D glass cover. The Honor 10 itself consists of an aluminum frame and domed glass covers in front and behind. Colorful color palette: Honor 10 in gray green On the back, the cameras with their 20 and 24 megapixel resolution are arranged not vertically, but “classic” horizontally. The dual flash sits with them on a line. Details about details about the cameras are still pending, but it can be assumed that the technology of the Leica Dualcam is taken over again without corresponding branding, because Honor is missing the name of the German camera specialist on the back. AI camera is standard Instead, there is talk of an “AI Camera”. What this means, among other things, we already explained a few days ago. Unlike the main cameras on the back, the front camera is obviously taken directly from the P20 series, so that a resolution of a respectable 24 megapixels is also offered here. It is also simpler: the Honor 10 in black According to the Chinese Telecommunications Authority TENAA Huawei’s Honor 10, like the Huawei’s P20 and Mate10 series, will feature the in-house Kirin 970 Octacore SoC, which operates at up to 2.4 gigahertz and has an integrated “Neural Processing Unit” (NPU). Depending on the model and region, the SoC can be combined with four or six gigabytes of RAM, while the integrated flash memory can hold either 64 or 128 gigabytes. An expansion of the memory is obviously not possible here. The capacity of the battery is specified in the Huawei Honor 10 with 3320mAh and thus completely identical to the power storage the Huawei P20 in the regular version. With 7.7 millimeters of height and a weight of 153 grams, the new honor flagship is absolutely within the scope of the current standard. The operating system is of course Android 8.1.0 in conjunction with the in-house interface EMUI 8.1. So far, we can not say anything about the pricing of the Honor 10, but it can be assumed that the device should be a bit cheaper than the closely related Huawei P20. This may include the use of a cheaper to buy display and possibly also cheaper eMMC memory. In some ways, the Honor 10 also has the advantage: it brings, for example, unlike the two expensive P20 models with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
