A Wi-Fi password is quite a requirement. If a person hosts people at home, most people will probably end up asking for the Wi-Fi password. The iPhone has a feature that allows people to share their Wi-Fi password.
Users can share their password not only with iPhone users but with iPad, iPhone or MacBook users as well, and if you are wondering how? Follow these steps but before that, here are some things to keep in mind:-
Make sure both devices have the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS.
– If someone wants to share their Wi-Fi password with others, make sure they are in the contact list
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be turned on in both devices
– Toggle Personal Hotspot on any of the devices, if it is on
Make sure the email address the person uses for their Apple ID is saved in the other person’s Contacts.
Also, be sure to save their email addresses in your contacts.
– Make sure the device (the one sharing the password) is unlocked and connected to Wi-Fi.
– Keep the other person’s device close to you, within Bluetooth and Wi-Fi range.
Now, follow these two simple steps to share your Wi-Fi password
Select the Wi-Fi network on the device you want to connect.
Now on the device, tap Share password, and then tap Done.
Keep in mind that the option will not appear unless and until the person’s email address is saved to your contacts, so this is not an “automatic” feature that will appear any time or every time and only works for a select group of people.
