Dear Aldo,
on June 15th, 1920 was born a great Italian actor, Alberto Sordi. Our Albertone national we miss his great ability to communicate, laugh. His historical film, the tassinaro, the physician, the moralist . His way of being witty, acid, diagnostic: this is the largest Italian actor.

Dear Massimo,
I always thought that at every funeral, a bit of all (except those close to him) weep in fact his own death. This was a fortiori true for the funeral of Alberto Sordi, and not only because the deceased had interpreted the occupation of almost all of the thousands of people, from laborers to politicians, from journalists to judges, from the military to the doctors, by priests to the police. Deaf embodied as none of the average Italian: il popolano, the roman with its meschinit and his cunning, the petty bourgeoisie, frightened and glossed over by history, but also the ruling classes fellone, and sometimes the cheater (see The prof. dr. Guido Tersilli primary clinic Villa Heavenly agreement with the mutuals). For this to sink in italianit pi authentic and sometimes the worst Pier Paolo Pasolini and many others are not loved. But give today a political reading of his work would be wrong; surely in a world of cinema oriented to the left, the Deaf was the soul christian democrat (even if the idea of bringing in Andreotti in Il tassinaro in the role of himself was not among the its most happy). I never interviewed, but I followed by the chronicler, precisely, his funeral in San Giovanni in Laterano. Never view an emotional participation cos busy of a people usually indifferent to everything as the roman one. Nun te I can see’ cos, in ‘I’m ‘ wood shouted a lady, as if she had really lost a relative. A group of fans port a banner that evoked, perhaps, the last great interpretation of the Deaf, the marquis of Grillo: Sor marquis on enough of these jokes, by Albertone riarzete. Spoke Veltroni, the mayor, and cardinal Ruini: We have kept allegri, we have helped to bring the burden of life. For this is now right to remember the centenary of the birth of the Deaf. The 1920’s was generous: just think of Karol Wojtyla and Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. And someone among the sons and daughters of that year, still with us. A memorable obituary that arrived to the Shipper in the death of the Deaf: Hello, Year. Franca Valeri, Milan, Italy.

Evil must be condemned, but without erase the good

More and more I am convinced that we live in an era full of immoralit and self-righteous. The contamination of the statues of Montanelli in Milan and Churchill in London, such as the beheading of those of Columbus in the Usa, makes me think if this is an attempt of historic revisionism. In fact, the story never has the task of pronouncing moral judgments, but to ascertain the likelihood more and more big, if possible, that a person has lived with good and evil. Columbus, Churchill, Montanelli: in the fields and different eras have brought a great good to humanity. Were not perfect, but who can be? In the name of evil, possibly, made you can not and should not erase the good done. Those of you without sin throw the first stone. In my Diocese, in an important village, c’ the bust of Lenin. As anachronistic as it may seem, some come even with nostalgia. And yet, Lenin is responsible for the death of millions of people and has written texts on violence, not recommended. There are many other people in history who have committed serious sins, and yet all of us forgot because of their art or ideology. Perhaps we must destroy the Colosseum, because l they killed men who were considered as animals? The search for purity of heart, a great journey, worthy, and dutiful. This does not imply the cancellation of the memory of artists, navigators, scientists, singers, actors… who have brought good to our lives. They cannot be simply erased even if their life was not totally blameless. Evil must always be condemned. The judgement on the men, should make us careful not to fall into hypocrisy.
