Chernigov schools closed for quarantine

Since January 14, schooling in Chernigov will not resume. This situation will last indefinitely.

In connection with the excess of the epidemic threshold for the incidence of influenza, the Chernigov authorities decided to introduce quarantine in educational and medical institutions. About it on Friday, January 11, the press service of the Chernihiv City Council.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the city operational headquarters to coordinate actions to prevent the spread of the flu and ARVI in the city.

The head of the city health department, Vladislav Kukhar, said that following a meeting with the chief doctors of city hospitals and in accordance with the order of the city council's health department, a whole range of restrictive measures would be held in the city.

“First of all, this is a restriction of free access to inpatient departments of hospitals for visitors, some of them will be redeveloped, where special wards for patients will be created, etc.,” he noted.

Recall that in Ukraine since the beginning of the epidemiological season, 13 people have died from the flu.
