In Höllental, the retaining wall of the B31 is being renovated at the Kreuzfelsen – district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald

From Monday it will be even tighter in Höllental. Only two lanes will be passable on the federal road from the Kreuzfelsen curve in the direction of Titisee-Neustadt. The construction work is expected to last five months.

Due to renovation work, only two lanes of the federal road will be passable from Monday, July 4th, in Höllental from the Kreuzfelsen curve in the direction of Titisee-Neustadt to the construction site. According to a statement from the Freiburg regional council, an approximately 380 meter long retaining wall on the B 31 is being renovated. It lies above the Kreuzfelsens on the valley side of the main road.

Work lasts five months

The work will start next Monday – then one lane will be closed in the direction of Donaueschingen. The parking bay that connects to the retaining wall is then also not passable. The regional council expects the work to take about five months. The retaining wall will be completely renovated. The costs for this are around 1.5 million euros.
