This Monday, June 14, the Recruitment Fair for catering and hotel trades was held at the Carreyrat village hall. The opportunity for managers looking for employees to meet many motivated candidates.
About fifteen restaurateurs, CV candidates ready to reveal the best of themselves, public bodies present to support all these beautiful people, the village hall of the Carreyrat de Montauban was the place to be on Monday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for all those wishing to work or hire in the restaurant and hotel industry. It was at the initiative of Pôle Emploi Tarn-et-Garonne, in partnership with UMIH82, Grand Montauban, Cap Emploi and the Local Mission, all present on site, that this recruitment fair was held with a clear objective: to put catering and hotel companies in direct contact with candidates looking for professional experience in this sector. On the menu of the day: fixed-term contracts, permanent contracts and seasonal jobs in all types of restaurants (gastronomic, traditional, fast-food).
A framework conducive to recruitment
The candidates were numerous to have presented themselves by invitation or freely at the tables of the restaurateurs. Several hundred according to the organizers. Samuel is 24 years old and is looking for a job after several interim periods. For him, this show is a golden opportunity: “Forums are always good in the sense that we find ourselves in front of the companies themselves, it is always a plus to appear in front of employers and show what is happening. ‘we are worth, at least we know that we are leaving a trace. And even for managers, the place has a real practical advantage as explained by Valérie Ponce, cook and caterer at Fort in Montauban, co-president of the department’s hotel union, also on the initiative of this day “If a candidate arrives at restaurant when we are in full swing, we are not intellectually mobilized on that we will not necessarily pay attention to the person while there we devote the day to it, intellectually we are not polluted by something else, we are open and we can listen ”. The job dating is linked and we find Samuel before his departure: “I met nine companies! Some are even hot to do a test over a day to see if it goes well, it’s a very positive day! »He rejoices.
Murielle Henry, regional director of Pôle Emploi Lot et Tarn-et-Garonne is also pleased with the success of this day: “I know that there are already hires that have been made today, some of which thanks to the help of our partners such as the Employment Initiative Contract carried by the Local Mission (financial assistance from the state when a company hires a young person under the age of 26 for a minimum of 6 months), which means that even in the restaurant business there is no only short-term contracts, there are prospects! “.
When all the economic players in the territory are mobilized at the same time and in the same place, when the severed link between employers and candidates is reestablished, a whole sector emerges as a winner.
