The Basmanny Court of Moscow decided to send in custody the head of the Derbent district of Dagestan, Magomed Dzhelilov, suspected of three large-scale spending episodes.
On it informs RIA Novosti news agency referring to the court press secretary Yunon Tsarev.
“The court granted the investigator’s request for a preventive measure in the form of detention,” she said.
It is noted that the official will be in custody until June 9.
According to the prosecution, in 2015 Dzhelilov, using his official powers, illegally donated three land plots with a total area of 3 hectares to his relatives.
It is assumed that the market value of the plots may be more than 20 million rubles.
Earlier it was reported that Dzhelilovu was charged with embezzlement.
On March 9, the Domodedovo Court of the Moscow Region arrested the former first deputy head of Rosgeology, Ruslan Gorring.
