Mercedes-Benz has announced its new products for the Munich International Motor Show, which will take place in September 2021. The Germans will bring several cars to the motor show at once, including the electric sedan EQE – the first teasers of the model were published by the press service of the automaker.
Judging by the exterior image, the exterior of the Mercedes EQE will resemble the flagship EQS electric car, presented in April this year. With him, he will share the MEA (Modular Electric Architecture) platform, designed specifically for the new generation of large electric cars.
The configuration of the cabin will be similar, where two large digital displays of the infotainment complex will be installed on the front panel.
There is no technical data for the Mercedes EQE yet. For example, the flagship EQS in the initial modification is driven by a single 331 hp electric motor, which allows the car to accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds. In addition, a version with two engines with a total output of 524 horsepower is available. Such a car accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds.
The electric units work together with a 400-volt 107.8 kWh battery, which allows you to travel up to 770 kilometers without recharging.
There is still little information about other new Mercedes products for Munich. It is only known that the Germans will bring to the motor show an electric crossover EQB, a new luxury electric car, which will be released under the Mercedes-Maybach brand, as well as a sports electric car developed by AMG specialists.
In addition, the automaker will present a new generation Smart electric car, created jointly by engineers from Daimler and the Chinese concern Geely. Finally, Mercedes will unveil the G-Class electric SUV prototype in September for production in 2024.
