The 9to5Mac site found in the first beta of iOS 12.2 confirmation that Apple is developing a new model of wireless headphones AirPods. This finding confirms the rumor that appeared earlier – about a simpler interaction with Siri.
It is assumed that the headphones AirPods 2 will allow you to run Siri voice command without removing the smartphone from your pocket, and this feature is already present in the beta version of iOS 12.2 – information about this can be found during the initial configuration assistant.
When a user sets up Siri on the first launch, they notify him that this assistant can be launched with the phrase “Hey, Siri,” pronounced either in an AirPods headset or in an iPhone. Existing AirPods will most likely not support this feature, and the release of AirPods 2 is likely to take place soon – by the time Apple has a stable iOS 12.2 update (that is, in about a couple of months).
