Al-Marsad newspaper: The Banking Information and Awareness Committee in Saudi banks published an audio clip of a real call that took place between a customer and a fraudulent person, during which the latter tried to obtain the customer’s bank account information.
The call showed the fraudster choosing a false name for himself and identifying himself to the customer that he works as an employee in a bank, and then tried to persuade him to provide information on his account to him in order to update it, or to suspend the account in light of his refusal to respond to his request.
The committee called on customers to ignore calls made by fraudsters and threaten to close accounts to obtain information, while reporting them and sending their numbers to the number “330330”.
