This Monday, the 6th, the survey on dengue shows an increase in the number of outbreaks of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, transmitter of dengue, chikungunya and zika, among other diseases in Brusque. The data were obtained and disseminated by the Health Surveillance Board of Brusque, through the Program to Combat Endemic Diseases.
So far, in 2023, the city has recorded only one case of dengue and it is imported, that is, the disease was contracted in another city or state. No person is hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and no patient is being treated in a hospital ward.
As for the outbreaks, in this update they reach 316, that is, 79 more than the data released last week.
Mosquito outbreaks
According to the survey, the neighborhood with the highest incidence of Aedes aegypti mosquito outbreaks is Cedrinho, with 41 notifications, followed by Dom Joaquim, with 22 outbreaks; Azambuja, 19; Limeira, 17, First of May, 16; Lemon tree, 15; Cedro Alto, Nova Brasília, Poço Fundo and São Pedro, with 14 each.
Completing the regions with the highest number of outbreaks are the Souza Cruz, Steffen and Rio Branco neighborhoods, which also have 13 outbreaks identified in each one throughout 2023.

In case of symptoms of dengue, look for the Basic Health Unit (UBS) in your region, for the first assistance. After the evaluation, the necessary referral will be given.
