In this way, the Specialized Intellectual Property Chamber (SPI) of Indecopi requested that the aforementioned organizations pay S/ 317,135.08 for accrued remunerations, in favor of the Peruvian Association of Authors and Composers (Apdayc), for having incurred in copyright infringement.

“The Peruvian Association of Authors and Composers – APDAYC (Peru) (hereinafter, APDAYC) filed a complaint against the Peruvian National Sports Football Federation, in its capacity as an organization, as well as against the Club Universitario de Deportes (hereinafter, the Club ) and Solución y Desarrollo Empresarial SAC, in their capacity as joint and several responsible, for alleged infringement of Copyright Legislation, in the form of public communication of musical works, without prior written authorization, ”the document specified. interposed.

As detailed in the complaint, the SPI determined that the FPF made public communication of musical themes without the respective authorization of their owners, infringing copyright; while Universitario de Deportes collaborated with the commission of the infraction, having provided the facilities of the Monumental Stadium.
