Foo Fighters have announced that Josh Freese will be stepping in on drums following the death of Taylor Hawkins. Freese has performed with many world stars during his three-decade career. The band announced the name of their new drummer in a livestream on Sunday, reports The Guardian.
The 50-year-old drummer has been a member of Devo since 1996 and the Vandals since 1989. He has also toured with Offspring, Guns N’ Roses, Danny Elfman, Weezer, Sting, Paramore, Nine Inch Nails and 100 Gecs.
Ten different drugs were found in Hawkins’ system
The band’s former drummer, Taylor Hawkins, died last March at the age of 50. Hawkins in 1997 He replaced William Goldsmith and played drums in the band for 25 years.
