Gigi Radics was happy to report on her own Instagram that Disney had chosen her as Ariel’s dubbing voice for the live-action version of the classic cartoon. The singer has previously worked with the giant film studio, when she sang the theme song of Disney’s 2020 Christmas short film series. According to the signs, they were very satisfied with the final result, because this time the singer lends her voice to a main character in the movie, which will be released on May 25 The Little Mermaidban.

“Finally, it’s no longer a secret, and I can say that doing the Hungarian dubbing of the live-action version of The Little Mermaid was one of the most beautiful tasks and biggest challenges of my life. It is a great honor that Disney chose my voice for the role of Ariel. I’m excited to see the movie in theaters. I’m also a little nervous, because I’ve never dubbed a voiceover in a film before, it will be strange to hear myself back, I hope you like it! Hats off to all dubbing actors, theirs is a very interesting world, they have a terribly difficult job, but it’s no coincidence that Hungarian dubbing is world-class,” reads the singer’s post.
