The CGT Cheminots, first union at the SNCF and SUD-RAIL, third union of the railway group, are both calling for a new mobilization on February 7 and 8, during the first week of school holidays for Zone A (Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers).
The CGT Cheminots and SUD RAIL propose to their members, on the evening of January 31, “to meet in general assemblies and to debate the intensification of the action by two consecutive days of strike. (…) And, for lack of withdrawal of the text, to consider the strike renewable by periods of 24 hours from mid-February”.
Two days of strike in addition to that of Tuesday, January 31. But the two unions will not be followed by the UNSA and the CFDT which, for the moment, do not call for a strike in February and want to concentrate on the national day of mobilization on January 31 next. Union unity on this new mobilization will therefore not take place.
In a leaflet from the UNSA, consulted by RTL, the union explains that “the UNSA railway is already ready, with all the employees of all sectors, to continue the battle against this unacceptable social regression” . The second union of the SNCF will wait until January 31 in the evening to decide on the follow-up to be given but does not call for a strike beyond this date for the moment.
These 2 new days of mobilizations were not chosen by chance since they correspond to the calls launched by the CGT Petroleum as well as the CGT Mines Energies which call for mobilization from February 6th to 8th.
The CGT and SUD Rail want to mobilize their troops in all the federations, well beyond January 31 to try to roll back the government on the pension reform.
