We’ve had to wait a long time for it, but Instagram is finally testing the ability to post photos via the desktop. You can currently view photos of yourself and others on the desktop, but you must post via mobile.
Instagram has been around since 2010, but the desktop version is still very limited. Users have long been asking for a feature that allows you to upload photos to the desktop. Social media consultant Matt Navarra can already try out the new feature. It is currently only possible to post photos and videos. Creating stories or reels is not yet an option on the desktop. It is still unclear when all users will have access to the new desktop feature, but it is clear that many people are waiting for this.
