Insurgent University Theater Festival inaugurated

The Insurgent University Theater Festival was inaugurated this Friday, in the spaces of the National Experimental University of the Arts (Unearte).

The director of the National Theater Training Program, Stanley Rodríguez, said that the Festival is: “a historic event, because in the pandemic, theaters were behind closed doors, today we give our students space on stage.” More than 29 study houses participate in the event.

During the inauguration, the piece “That spike planted in Carabobo” by César Rengifo was presented. Regarding the presentation, Rodríguez highlighted that Rengifo “portrays our history in each work and in this piece, he tells us about the events that occurred in the Battle of Carabobo.”
