The public will have the chance to indulge in the discovery of chess at the Media Library in Falaise, with the voluntary participation of Daniel Dumont from the Falaise chess club “Le Jeu du roi Guillaume”.

“The history of chess dates back more than 1500 years and it will continue long after us”, launches Daniel Dumont. This Falaisien, passionate about sports, also has a taste for chess. “I often practiced with my son”, he confided. But today it is less easy, his son living far from home. So Daniel Dumont looked for this board game in a club on Falaise, to confront himself with others. Not having found, he took the decision to create himself a chess club in the city. The name is found, it will be “The game of King William”.
