JAMESTOWN, NY – An ongoing investigation into heroin sales and trafficking in Jamestown, NY, has led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of half a pound of heroin.
According to a release from the Jamestown Police Department and investigation, investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, the Jamestown Police, the Town of Ellicott Police, and the New York State Police cited a vehicle traveling on I-86 (Southern Tier Expressway) , Friday evening, October 30th
A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, and the subsequent search of the vehicle yielded about half a pound of uncut heroin. Investigators have indicted 55-year-old Edgardo Hernandez and 59-year-old Orlando Collazo, both from Jamestown, for the second-degree controlled crime substance (A2 Felony) and the second-degree possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were charged at the Ellicott Town Court and taken to Chautauqua County Prison.
Hernandez was also arrested in January 2015 for possessing heroin, making him the second heroin arrest in less than a year.
