Apple previously announced a recall plan for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models that have sound problems when making or receiving calls. The regional market covered by the recall plan is expanding, and it already includes Hong Kong.
According to a report from a local Arabic publication “Khaleej Times”, it is learned that Apple has recalled the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro in the UAE, but the iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max has not been recalled. The reason for the recall is that an audio component may be recalled. error occured.
According to Apple, the models that may have problems cover iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021. A component in the handset module of these devices may be malfunctioning, causing the “very small percentage” of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models to make no sound when making or receiving calls.
The recall plan is aimed at global users, and Apple Hong Kong officials responded to the matter in 8 copies this year. It means that the user can go to Apple or an Apple authorized repair center to repair the qualified device for free after the corresponding problem occurs in the mobile phone. The overhaul service covers iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices within two years of the first retail sale.
