One of the New York Yankees’ star outfielders, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, caused a furor in the line up after registering a magical night last Tuesday in the 10-2 victory that the ‘Bronx Bombers’ registered against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park to give his team great joy.
The slugger ended up having four hits and registering four RBIs to be a valuable piece in the team’s victory. that allowed them to place their mark in 34 games won and 23 lost to continue climbing positions in the East Division of the American League (currently they are third).
So far this season, the 2020 Gold Glove winner with the Texas Rangers has established himself as an important hitter for the New York organization thanks to a series of changes he made when stepping into the batter’s box.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa credits his offensive success to a change in mentality. Basically, he’s swinging harder. Sounds simple, right? Last year, as the starting SS, he was trying to slap the ball around & make contact. Now: “I need to drive the ball to stay on the field.”

After the match against the Mariners, Isiah Kiner-Falefa spoke with journalist Bryan Hoch about his magnificent night and maintained that all this push is mainly due to a change in mentality that he made and that has allowed him to hit harder.
“I have worked hard to make adjustments. There have been times where I’ve wanted to get away from it and go back to hitting ground balls up the middle, but they’ve been pushing me and telling me to stick with it. It’s finally starting to bear fruit,” the 28-year-old said in his remarks.
These words are due to the constant recommendations that the coaches have made to Kiner-Falefa so that they can rebound in their results and become a piece of power for the lineup.
So far in the 2023 Major League season, the player has a batting average of .243 product of 27 hits, 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored in 111 at-bats.
