“It cracked a bit”

Despite a new trophy acquired this Friday evening, PSG does not necessarily have a smile. During the Coupe de France final, the Parisian club saw Kylian Mbappé leave the lawn in the first period after a violent tackle from Loïc Perrin, captain of Saint-Etienne. On the podium at the end of the match for the presentation of the trophy, the French striker, on crutches and with a brace on his right ankle, exchanged a few words with French President Emmanuel Macron about his injury.

“It cracked a bit anyway,” said Mbappé, who specifies that he “does not think it’s broken”. The Parisian star will go directly to the hospital to take exams in order to find out more about the extent of the damage and especially, the duration of his unavailability. PSG will face Atalanta Bergamo in the Champions League on August 12 in Lisbon. Before this meeting, crucial for PSG, the Parisians must play the final of the Coupe de la Ligue against Lyon on Friday July 31.
