The defensive end and cornerback will miss a week of pre-season activity with the team.
Jacksonville has blocked two of its top defensive players, cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive end Dante Fowler, for next week's preseason activity. The suspension is inappropriate for "injurious team rules and behavior of a Jaguar footballer," the team announced Sunday.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Ramsey's suspension was a result of cornerback going to a local reporter on Twitter on Sunday for what he believed was "unfair handling of teammates especially Dante Fowler."
Fowler was involved in a Jaguar training fight on Sunday, documented by a local reporter. Ramsey responded to the reporter on Twitter.
Ramsey added a second tweet that he always "kisses" for my teammates I know what kind of men and players they are real for!
None of the players will be available for training this week or play against the Vikings on Saturday as part of the suspension of the Jaguars' game.
ESPN's Adam Schefter added that neither Ramsey nor Fowler will make the trip to Minnesota to practice with the Vikings prior to this weekend's game.
Ramsey played briefly in Jacksonville preseason opener against the saints on Thursday. Fowler was just activated by the list of physically disabled people on Saturday.
