TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) registered 69 streets that remain flooded one day after Tuesday’s maximum floods. The following data comes from the recap of the BPBD on Wednesday, February 26, accessed at 06:00, Western Indonesia Time (WIB):
The center of Jakarta sees 5 roads still submerged under 10-550 cm of flood water due to high intensity rain. In North of Jakarta, up to 17 roads are flooded by 5-7 cm of water.
Up to 35 roads in western Jakarta are still flooded under 10-50 cm of water. In sOutside Jakarta, 3 roads are flooded under 10-60 cm of flood water due to heavy rains.
Finally, 14 roads remain flooded in eastern Jakarta due to the combination of heavy rains and overflows from the Cipinang River, the Utan Kayu River and the Kalijodo River.
All the previous places in Jakarta are being mitigated by the local Public facilities maintenance agency (PPSU) and the Jakarta Water Resources Agency (DSDA).
