The EGOT has landed!
On Thursday, NBC announced that John Legend would join The voice as judge for season 16, which airs this spring.
"I'm thrilled to be the coaches of The voice.Legend said in a press release about the exciting news.
"I've been a guest and mentor on the show several times and I'm so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift, and I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL," he added.
The legend will replace hostess Jennifer Hudson and join Kelly Clarkson and veteran hosts Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Legend previously appeared at the show as a consultant to Levine's team in 2017.

Following the ceremony, the musician told reporters that his wife Chrissy Teigen inspires him every day – and he would not be surprised if she could get away with a few Emmys.
"We inspire each other," he explained. "It inspires my songs, it inspires me to be a better husband and a better father, we support each other in everything we do, I root for them in their careers and everything they do, and I expect that she'll be up here winning Emmys for all the great work she's doing. "
Legend, who played Jesus in NBC's live production, is also nominated for the Outstanding Actor in a limited series or movie to be announced next week during the Primetime Emmys.
