Maryland senior sports director Damon Evans said on Thursday that the school will hear an outside investigation into the death of 19-year-old offensive Lineman Jordan McNair, after Heather Dinich of ESPN.com:

"The smart thing to do and do the right thing when a situation like this arises is a check to make sure the correct logs have been followed Believe it is important to involve an outside group to conduct the review, we started this discussion process from the moment Jordan was hospitalized and we will have a team that will give us the necessary feedback. "

McNair died in a hospital on May 29 after collapsing during a team training session.
