Joren Dom leaves Beerschot and moves to OHL: “I would like to continue playing football in 1A” | Jupiler Pro League

Beerschot will play in 1B again next season after two seasons in 1A. That will be without Joren Dom. “I’ve had fantastic moments here, I became three times period champion and champion in 1B and rose to 1A,” says Dom.

“In 1A I was able to show my qualities at the highest level in Belgium. I would like to continue playing football in the first division and make the switch to another Belgian club. I want to thank the supporters for the support I have always received here.”

Two hours after Beerschot announced the departure, it became clear what Dom’s new club will be. He signs for two seasons with OH Leuven. There he meets Marc Brys again, with whom he previously worked together for a season.

Dom arrived at Beerschot in the summer of 2017. Not an obvious transfer, because he made the sensitive transfer from Antwerp. In five seasons, the indomitable defender played 148 matches for Beerschot. He was joint top scorer with Lawrence Shankland last season.
