Wacker Thun | 25. September 2022
The history of the evening in Thun in Basel is summarized briefly: The first half was restrained and slow, after the break there was a significant increase in performance – before it got close again at the end and only shakily led to a complete success.

Wacker Thun fought a 30:29 away win against RTV 1879 Basel in the Rankhof. It was a liberation for the Bernese Oberland, after four rounds without a win they celebrated their second win in a row. At RTV Basel, Thun turned an 11:15 (31st) into a 30:29 win. After the goal to make it 15:11, the Basel team didn’t score with the first attack in the second half for eight minutes (and eight attacks). In this phase, Wacker Thun made the turn from 11:15 to 18:15.
Those were extremely important points against a supposedly weaker opponent, for which Remo Badertscher’s team had to work hard, according to the club’s website. After many balanced games, where Wacker ended up empty-handed, the team in green had the happier evening for once. Wacker Thun continues on October 1st with the home game against Kadetten Schaffhausen.
Next bankruptcy for Schaffhausen
And unlike Thun, Schaffhausen had to admit defeat in the second top game in a row. The cadets lose 31:35 against Scout Winterthur.
Ten days ago, the Kadetten already lost against Kriens-Lucerne (with Andy Schmid). The duel between the 2022 champion (Kadetten Schaffhausen) and the 2021 champion (Pfadi Winterthur) was varied. In the first half, Winterthur led by up to four goals (15:11). After the break, the cadets were mostly in the lead, most recently 27:25 (45th) and 28:27 (47th). With five goals in a row to 32:28, Pfadi Winterthur managed the decisive intermediate sprint. Arseniye Dragasevic proved to be the game’s top scorer with ten goals, despite needing 19 attempts.
Kriens-Lucerne established itself at the top of the table. Even without Andy Schmid, the team from Central Switzerland defeated Kreuzlingen away from home 32:29.
