The former president of the Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont, and the ERC leader, Oriol Junqueras, would be able to enter the European Parliament, according to the first polls on the ballot box. Puigdemont would achieve the parliamentary act thanks to the victory of Junts per Catalunya in the city of Barcelona, which would be the most voted force, followed by ERC and the PSC. The PSOE would be the most voted force in the European elections, followed by the Popular Party, which would slightly improve its results of the general elections.
The PSOE has become the winner of the elections to the European Parliament to get 18 seats, followed by the PP to which awards 11-12. The third most voted party would be Citizens with 8 parliamentarians, followed by Unidas Podemos with 7. Vox would enter the European chamber for the first time with 4 or 5 seats.
