RIYADH – King Salman bin Abdulaziz of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) finally congratulated the elected president United States of America (AS) Joe Biden for his victory in the presidential election (pilpres) America.

The two Saudi leaders had previously been silent as world leaders congratulated Biden. Speeches from King Salman and MBS were also addressed to and elected US vice president Kamala Harris. (Read: US Chosen President Biden: King Salman, Putin to Erdogan Silence)

“In his telegram, the King expressed his hopes for success for the elected president, wishing the American people more progress and prosperity,” wrote the state news agency, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the telegram of King Salman on Sunday (8/11/2020).

King Salman also praised the special historical ties that exist between the two countries and the friendship of the two countries. A similar speech from the Crown Prince MBS was also delivered via telegram.

Democrat Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump in the US presidential election, whose winning numbers came out on Saturday last week. Biden is now the 46th president of the United States. (Also read: Trump Lose US Presidential Election, Chinese Communist Party Media: Haha ….)

Trump became the first president to lose a presidential election for his second term in power since George HW Bush in 1992.
