jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Daily Chief of Kompolnas Inspector General (ret) Benny Mamoto commented on the polemic of AKBP Raden Brotoseno who was not fired despite his status as a former corruption convict.

Benny said the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial against AKBP Brotoseno was conducted before the era of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo serving as the National Police Chief.

“I need to convey the decision of the code of ethics trial on October 13, 2020. So, that was the era before Mr. Listyo Sigit,” said Benny to reporters, Friday (3/6).

However, Benny asked that the incident experienced by AKBP Brotoseno could be a lesson and evaluation for the Police so that they can act better.

Especially in giving sanctions in the trial of the code of ethics against members who have problems.

“Police need to be more careful when the code of ethics trial is carried out. In deciding cases of convicts of corruption, it is necessary to consider the community’s sense of justice,” he stressed.

The former Deputy for Eradication of BNN said that his party had clarified the results of the decision on the AKBP Brotseno code of ethics to the Indonesian National Police.

He also asked all parties to respect the decision because it has permanent legal force or inkrah.
